Tom Vek tonight

This show is going to be amazing. The Noisettes are opening, yay!
OH and Mobius Band was incredible. The acoustics in the HOB are fantastic - so much better than the Palladium. Matsiyahu was a pleasant suprise. To be honest, when I first heard that he's an orthodox Jew and a rastafarian, I was a little put-off. But the set was really good. He's got a fab stage presence and his musicians are really talented. If you visit House of Blues in LA, make sure to check out the Foundacion Room. It’s the VIP room and is utterly insane. It’s filled with hand-carved wood on the ceilings, doors, and furniture, and the walls are covered in handstiched quilts that have ornate beading and mirrors in them. It’s Indian and Middle Eastern inspired, kinda like the Spyder Room but nowhere near as lame. Even the private access elevator is ridiculous. The staff waits on you – they lead you to the bathroom and check in on you. There’s one small main room and lots of small private ones that are seriously OTT. You need membership for regular access, which costs like 2K a year!

Anyways...Tom Vek!
